Ticket to Read is a pop-up library run by a volunteer group for the benefit of the residents of Woolton, Liverpool.The organisation is registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee and it is a registered charity (no. 1157950). It was formed in July 2012 following the closure of the local public library.The library is open 6 hours per week (Mondays and Wednesdays 1.30 - 4.30 pm) in a church hall (the Simon Peter Centre, Church Rd, Woolton L25 6DA). We provide a recreational reading services using a stock of about 4,000 mainly donated books. On Tuesdays 11am - 12 noon we provide a weekly Story Time & Rhyme Time session for children under 5 years of age.We also hold reading events and activities to raise funds and to help combat problems of loneliness and isolation in the community.
